Maserati Ghibli review: the sedan that sounds better than it sells
The Ghibli never outsold its German rivals in Bahrain and it never will, but nothing at this price sounds like a twin-turbo Maserati V6 or turns as many heads outside a Seef Mall valet stand. The driving experience was never the problem; the used-market maths is what needs the caution.
Maserati Levante review: the Cayenne alternative for people who don't want a Cayenne
The Levante drives with more character than a Cayenne and looks more special doing it, which was always the point of buying a Maserati SUV instead of a German one. It also means more time at a specialist workshop and a used-market price that has already collapsed in Bahrain's favour.
Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo review: a Ferrari-engined convertible for a very short list of Bahraini buyers
The new GranCabrio finally gives Maserati an engine that does not need an apology attached to it — the Nettuno V6 is genuinely special. Everything else about owning one new in Bahrain, from the roof in August to the total absence of a used-market track record, asks for a buyer who is not counting the cost.
Maserati Quattroporte review: flagship presence at second-hand-flagship risk
Nothing parked outside the Ritz-Carlton in Bahrain says old-money Italian quite like a Quattroporte, and the driving experience backs up the presence. What it does not back up is a used-car ownership case against an S-Class — go in with your eyes open about the service network.
