The H-1 is not exciting to drive and was never meant to be — it is a tool, and a very good one, for anyone who genuinely needs to move nine or more people or a full load of cargo regularly. The 3.8-litre V6 petrol has enough reserve power fully loaded on the causeway to Saudi that it never feels stressed, and Hyundai's parts and service network in Bahrain is as deep for this van as for any Elantra.
